Hi everyone.

This is a short note to let you know that Club member Alan Bloomfield has tested positive to Covid-19 yesterday (Wednesday 23rd Feb).

Alan is well, with mild symptoms, but you should be aware that he attended the club meeting on Monday night at the Golf Club and was in close contact with some members.

The Golf Club has also been informed.

The Oil Rag is out again, this time with a full 2022 Calendar at the back. Please note that this Calendar will be kept as up to date as possible but we are not able to keep up with all external (non PAC) events.

A reminder that there is a Working Bee next Sunday morning followed by a Test & Tune / practice session.

Came to the working bee from 9:00, enjoy a BBQ lunch and spend a couple of happy hours running around the khanacross layout.

We have lots to do in the morning:

• continue pulling down the garage
• always more mowing, trimming etc
• mow the paddock and khanacross area
• put the new motor on our ride on mower
• test the power spray unit and whipper snipper we found on the container
• plumbing to the tanks

I will have the new timing system there to test out. That is if I can remember how to work it!

A reminder that the Club's Annual General Meeting is next Monday night, 13th December.

To state the obvious, a Club can't run without a Committee. The more people are the involved, the more effective Committee is and the easier the job is for us all.

So I strongly encourage you to consider nominating.

Sunday the 28th we are holding working bee and catering HRA’s Touring Assembly

HRA Touring Assembly

HRA is using Key Lane as its base for their Down the Drain Touring Assembly and we have agreed to cater breakfast and lunch for the entrants.

Check in is from 9am, lunch between 12 and 2. So, we will need some helpers with the bbq for egg and bacon sandwiches from 8:30 and with the bbq lunch from 12.

Working Bee

To kill 2 birds with one stone, we are having the working bee on the same day.

Main focus for the day is to demolish the old garage. It needs to go.

Other jobs will include all the usual stuff: cleaning and getting the house ready to paint, gardening/ mowing and the on-going work on the shed around the containers

Anyone who comes along to help out with catering or the working bee will get a free bbq lunch. Come early and get an egg and bacon sandwich mmmmm.

I accordance with Gvt Covid regulations, everyone attending must be fuly vaccinated.

Unfortunately due to today's announcements regarding the lockdown extension all events scheduled for this weekend are cancelled.

This includes the StoreMyToys Junior Development Day, and all involved are very disappointed but understand that this lockdown has affected us all in all manner of ways.

Entrants in the StoreMyToys Junior Development Day may either opt for a full refund of their entry fee or have their ticket held until the next event date is announced. At this stage we do not have a estimated date, but please let us know by return email which option best suits you.

Khanacross Entrants will be contacted in due course seperately.
