At Pakenham Auto Club, our Junior Development Program, led by the Junior Development Team, offers young enthusiasts aged 12-17 an exciting introduction to the world of motorsports. Whether you're new to driving or looking to advance your skills, our program provides a solid foundation in vehicle control and safety, preparing you for the thrill and discipline of motorsport.

All Junior sessions include the use of one of our club cars, ensuring that every participant has access to a well-maintained vehicle for their practice. This allows juniors to focus on building their skills without the need to bring their own car.

JUNIOR COME & TRY - LEARN TO DRIVE

Ready to experience the thrill of driving? Our Junior Come & Try – Learn to Drive session is the perfect starting point for young drivers aged 12-17. This session introduces essential driving skills, including vehicle handling, moving off, stopping, and conducting safety checks. Whether it’s your first time behind the wheel or you’re looking to enhance your skills, our friendly instructors will guide you every step of the way. Each junior will be provided with one of our club cars, making the experience both informative and enjoyable.

   

JUNIOR PRACTICE DRIVING SKILLS

Take your driving skills to the next level! Designed for those who have completed our Junior Come & Try – Learn to Drive program, the Junior Practice Driving Skills Session focuses on refining your techniques and enhancing your control and confidence behind the wheel. This session offers opportunities to practice and perfect your skills, understand regulations, and learn about safety requirements for competing in events. Each junior will have access to one of our club cars, providing a supportive and engaging environment to continue your development.

Please note: A Junior Speed Licence is required for this session.

JUNIOR INTRODUCTION TO MOTORKHANA

Dive into the fast-paced world of Motorkhana! If you’ve completed our Junior Come & Try – Learn to Drive session, this is your next step. Our Junior Introduction to Motorkhana session prepares you for competition by teaching you how to navigate event paperwork, pass scrutineering, and master the driving techniques needed for Motorkhana tests. With one of our club cars provided for each participant, you’ll gain plenty of hands-on practice to showcase your skills in upcoming Motorkhana events.

JUNIOR INTRODUCTION TO KHANACROSS

Explore the excitement of Khanacross! This unique motorsport challenges your driving skills and judgment to complete each test in the shortest time, including any penalties. Our Junior Introduction to Khanacross session offers a comprehensive overview of this thrilling discipline. You’ll learn about vehicle control, navigating the track, car safety requirements, helmets and clothing, and how to read and understand supplementary regulations. With one of our club cars provided, this session is perfect for young drivers eager to tackle new challenges with confidence.
