We’re excited to invite all Junior Development Program (JDP) members with a Junior Speed License to our Introduction to Motorkhana/ Khanacross in either our Club Cars or bring your own car.
(Please refer to information below about brining your own car)!
This is a follow-up to our previous "Come and Try" sessions and is specially tailored for our junior participants who have completed 'Come and Try for New Members' and "Junior Practice Driving Skills' sessions.
Whether you’re looking to learn, improve, or just have some fun, this event is perfect for you. It's all about building confidence, gaining knowledge, and understanding the basics needed for grassroots events.
Make sure you bring your Motorsports Licence.
The session will cover:
Registration: Learn how to fill in the event entry form paperwork,
Drivers Briefing: What is Drivers Briefing?
Scrutineering: Discover how to prepare your vehicle for Motorkhana/Khanacross.
Motorkhana/Khanacross Test Overview: Dive into the dynamics of Motorkhana and Khanacross.
Interpreting Motorkhana Tests: Master the art of reading a Motorkhana test.
Practical Driving Techniques: Get hands-on experience driving a Motorkhana/Khanacross test.

$45 per driver

Helmets:
Please Note: Helmets are required for this event. If you have your own please bring them, otherwise we have club helmets available on the day.
Own Car?
If you have your own car, feel free to bring it along! Please note that your car will need to pass scrutineering before you can participate. If it's deemed safe, you’ll be able to participate in your own car. Our instructors and coaches will be there to guide you on the Khanacross track, offering tips and feedback as you practice.
Fire Extinguishers:
All cars must be fitted with a Fire Extinguisher
Fire Extinguishers must be secured using a metal bracket attached to the Automobile with only high tensile bolts or equivalent fasteners and/or sufficient clamp/s. (See Below for More Information)

(a) Each hand-held fire extinguisher must be secured using a metal bracket attached to the Automobile with only high tensile bolts or equivalent fasteners and/or sufficient clamp/s and must remain restrained under a deceleration or acceleration of 25g; and
(b) Must be capable of removal by the driver (or crew, where applicable) while seated in their normal respective position for competition with safety harness unfastened, unless varied by specific category regulations, and without the aid of tools.
